Next year's trip schedule!

We are planning a series of trips this year which will be common to both full time and part-time students, the first being to the Hayward touring show “You’ll Never Know: Drawing and Random Interference” at the Lowry in Salford. http://www.hayward.org.uk/touring_curr_detail.asp?i=127
This will take place daytime Thursday 2nd November, and to which as many as possible of you are invited.
The international trip this year will be to Switzerland for Art Basel, planned for June 2007.

Costs for this are being calculated now, you'll be notified by letterof costs and dates before you come to enrol and again we hope that as many as possible of you will be able to take part. Further updates on this will follow on this. Bookings and money for trips where the costs are indicated above will be taken on enrolment by the course administrator.

Summer news from BA Fine Art

Students in shows: Congratulations are due to Rosie Kearton from Yr 1 who won the regional heat of the SurgiCare Competition at the ArtCo gallery, Leeds last month with her installation embodying the spirit of women,she won £500 and will go on to the national final. The prize is £1000 and permanent display in the company HQ.

Two Level Two students, John Stell from Yr. 2 and Sarah Perry from Yr 1, have had work selected for Leeds City Art Gallery Artists Show 2006, on until Sept. 17th. Also staff member Emma Bolland is showing at the same venue with her installation 'Rose and Heather' more info at www. leeds.gov.uk/artgallery/art_exh.html.

Summer school starts in two weeks on July 24th for those students taking part, joining Don Cameron at the Vernon St site for a week of site specific research and practice.

We'll be running blogging sessions through the IT inductions next year for anyone who is a bit mystified or needs a refresher.
