Richard Hylton

Richard Hylton is a leading curator, artist, critic and author and has worked on many national and international exhibitions as well as editing artists’ monographs and contributing to various artists’ journals. His recent book The Nature of the Beast is a long overdue study of cultural diversity policies and initiatives in the visual arts from the 1970’s to the present day.

Richard has worked as a curator in various organizations including the University of Bradford, Oldham Art Gallery, Autograph (Association of Black Photographers) and is currently curator of the Unit 2 Gallery at London Metropolitan University.
